98.36

丹霞和尚云。汝等保護一靈之物。不是汝造作得。不是汝詺邈得。吾此地無佛。無涅槃。亦無道可修。無法可證。道不屬有無。更修何法。唯此餘光。在在處。處則是大道。

The monk Danxia said: You must protect this single spiritual thing; it is not something you can construct, nor something you can name and depict. In my place here there is no Buddha and no nirvāṇa, nor is there any Way to cultivate or any dharma to realize. The Way does not belong to existence or non-existence; what further dharma is there to cultivate? Only this remaining radiance, everywhere and in every place, is the Great Way.
