The monk Caotang said: If the net of Indra is not spread, how can the thousands of jewels be seen? When the great net is suddenly raised, the ten thousand meshes naturally open. Illuminating both mind and Buddha is contemplation; relinquishing both mind and Buddha is cessation. Once settledness and wisdom are equal, what mind is not Buddha? What Buddha is not mind? Since mind and Buddha are such, the myriad objects and myriad conditions are nothing other than samādhi.
