Answer: When the awakened mind does not change, the vision and knowledge of the Buddha are opened. When the vision and knowledge of the Buddha are opened, there is nothing hidden that is not perceived. The characteristic of non-duality is what the Buddha eye sees; the path of the one reality is what the Buddha wisdom knows. It completely illuminates the limits of the dharmadhātu and penetrates the bottom of the true source. Above, it accomplishes the Buddhas; below, it transforms sentient beings. None fail to rely on this, benefiting both self and others. Those who wish to cultivate correctly, if they do not return to the Mirror of the Source, all fall into perverse cultivation, or remain stagnant in the provisional and lesser vehicles. This correct meaning of the Mirror of the Source: all Buddhas of the ten directions in the past have already completed their complete cultivation through this; all Buddhas of the present are completing it through this; all Buddhas of the future will complete it through this. All bodhisattvas of the past have already studied it; all bodhisattvas of the present are currently studying it; all bodhisattvas of the future will study it. Therefore, the Awakening of Faith clarifies that one must first maintain right mindfulness on the phenomenon of tathatā. The Shibiji chao says: "All gates of practice arise from tathatā. Because it is the source of practice, a practice that does not flow from the real has no way to tally with the real. How could there be any practice that tallies with the real that does not arise from the real? This is indeed the root among the dharmas to be believed." Therefore, what the myriad conditions arise from is tathatā; what is entered by harmonizing conditions is tathatā. When a bodhisattva generates the mind [of awakening], they first contemplate tathatā; when a bodhisattva arouses faith, they also first have faith in tathatā; what a bodhisattva practices also accords with and tallies with tathatā.
