Answer: Enlightenment is established based on delusion; truth is indicated by speaking of falsity. These all adapt to the capacities [of beings] and each has no self-substance. In terms of the conventional, they exist; relying on ultimate truth, they are non-existent. One merely removes interdependent names; one does not extinguish the single spiritual nature. The nature solely transcends duality, whereas phenomena have antidotes. Dismissing and sweeping away is to break attachments; establishing is to eliminate the view of annihilation. Asceticism subdues externalists; spiritual penetrations transform the foolish. Samādhi subdues heavenly māras; contemplation of emptiness dispels the bond of characteristics. Seeing suffering and abandoning origination is for those of excessive pride; realizing cessation and cultivating truth are for those who engage in conceptual elaboration. All are provisional wisdom, guiding into this source. Then not a single dharma can be raised, not a single dharma can be dismissed. The four māras cannot diminish it; great enlightenment cannot increase it. Reversing the mind, principles completely dissolve; realizing the intent, names and words naturally cease.
