答：「此離念而求無念，尚未得真無念，況念無念而無閡乎？又無念但是行之一，豈知一念頓圓，如上所引。佛旨煥然，何得空腹高心，以少為足，擬欲蛙嫌海量，螢掩日光乎？」

Answer: "This is departing from thought to seek non-thought; one has not yet even attained true non-thought, so how could one realize that thought and non-thought are unimpeded? Furthermore, non-thought is merely one among practices; how could one know that a single thought-moment is suddenly consummate, as cited above? The Buddha's intent is brilliantly clear. How can one have an empty belly and an arrogant mind, being satisfied with little, wishing like a frog to disparage the ocean's expanse, or like a firefly to obscure the light of the sun?"
