問：「龐居士云：『事上說佛國，此去十萬里；大海渺無邊，動即黑風起。往者雖千萬，達者無一二；忽遇本來人，不在因緣裡。』如何通會而證往生？」

Question: "Layman Pang said: / 'Speaking of the Buddha-land in terms of phenomena, it is a hundred thousand miles from here; / The great sea is vast and boundless, and as soon as one moves, dark winds arise. / Though those who go are thousands and millions, those who arrive are not even one or two; / If one suddenly encounters the original person, it is not within cause and condition.' / How can these be reconciled to verify rebirth?"
