答：「捨愚從智，平等理乖；棄惡歸善，同體悲廢。眾生本妙，不可度量；忽遇因緣，機發不定。設未得度，亦作度緣；以此而推，應須等化。」

Answer: "Abandoning the foolish to follow the wise contradicts the principle of equality; discarding evil to return to goodness abrogates the compassion of identical essence. Sentient beings are fundamentally wondrous and cannot be measured; when suddenly encountering causes and conditions, the arising of their capacity is indeterminate. Even if they are not yet delivered, this also forms a condition for deliverance. Deducing from this, one must transform them equally."
