「第二、權實雙行者，實則真際，權則化門。從真際而起化，實外無權；因事跡而得本，權外無實。常冥一旨，無閡雙行；遮照同時，理量齊現。

"Second: regarding 'Simultaneous operation of the expedient and the real,' the real is bhūta-koṭi, and the expedient is the gate of transformation. Transformation arises from bhūta-koṭi—outside the real there is no expedient; the source is attained through phenomenal traces—outside the expedient there is no real. Constantly fusing in a single purport, they operate doubly without obstruction; negation and illumination are simultaneous, and principle and measure are manifested together.
