問：「惡能掩善，則禍起而福傾；善能排惡，則障消而道現。何乃或有從生積善，反受餘殃？及蕭梁武帝，歸憑三寶；一朝困斃，全無靈祐者何？舉世咸疑，請消餘滯。」

Question: "If evil can obscure good, then misfortune arises and fortune collapses; if good can dispel evil, then obstacles vanish and the Way becomes apparent. Why then are there some who accumulate good from birth yet instead suffer lingering calamities? And as for Emperor Wu of the Xiao Liang dynasty, who took refuge in and relied upon the Three Jewels: why was he suddenly reduced to distress and death, completely without miraculous protection? The entire world is filled with doubt over this; please dissolve our remaining hesitation."
