子韶同妙喜萬菴三人詣前堂本首座寮問疾。妙喜曰。林下人身安然後可以學道。萬菴直謂不然。必欲學道不當更顧其身。妙喜曰。爾遮漢又顛邪。子韶雖重妙喜之言。而終愛萬菴之語為當（記聞）。

Zishao, together with Miaoxi and Wan'an, three men in all, went to the quarters of Head Monk Ben of the Front Hall to inquire after his illness. Miaoxi said: “Only when a person living in the forest has a comfortable body can he study the Way.” Wan'an directly said this was not so: “If one must study the Way, one should no longer take regard of one's body.” Miaoxi said: “You fellow, are you crazy again?” Although Zishao respected Miaoxi's words, in the end he favored Wan'an's statement as being right (Jiwen).
