4.38

密菴曰。衲子履行。傾邪素有不善之迹者。叢林互知。此不足疾。惟眾人謂之賢。而內實不肖者。誡可疾也（與普慈書）。

Mi'an said, "As for the conduct of patch-robed monks, those who are devious and have long had traces of unwholesomeness are mutually known to the monastic grove; these are not worth being detested. It is only those whom the assembly calls worthy, but who inside are truly unworthy, that can truly be detested." (Letter to Puci)
