Strive, strive! The ultimate Way does not brook delay; why linger and tarry?
Infantile and lost, the spirit is divine;
Boundless is the traidhātuka, endless and remote the long fetters.
Weariness and toil converge from without; the dark mind rushes within.
Sacrificing oneself to pursue thirst and craving, far away one forgets fatigue.
A person's life in this world is like a suspended drop of dew.
My body is not mine; to whom does all this talk apply?
The realized person cherishes virtue, knowing that security inevitably brings danger.
Solitary, pure, and elevated, one purifies defilements in the pool of dhyāna.
Prudently observe the clear prohibitions; elegantly expound the profound guidelines.
Pacify the mind in the spiritual Way; elevate the will in non-action.
Vastly illuminate the three obscurations; dissolve and cure the six flaws;
Empty the five skandhas into voidness; render the four limbs open and free.
A non-finger serves as a metaphor for a finger, severed yet not separated.
Once wondrous enlightenment is unfolded, one further makes its knowledge profound.
Gracefully and naturally letting go, one shifts and turns along with things.
Beyond this, do not think and do not deliberate.
