○入廁洗淨等。經中各有神呪。必須受持。經云。若不持誦此諸神呪者。縱用七恒河水洗。至金剛際。亦不得身器清淨。受持此呪者。當一一默誦七遍。則獲一切清淨福德。諸惡鬼神悉皆拱手。

Entering the privy, washing, and the like each have divine mantras in the sūtras that must be maintained. A sūtra states: "If one does not uphold and recite these divine mantras, even if one washes with the water of seven Gaṅgā rivers down to the vajra-realm, the bodily vessel will still not attain purity. Those who uphold this mantra should silently recite it seven times at each step; they will then attain all pure merit, and all evil ghosts and spirits will fold their hands [in respect]."
