牧菴忠禪師。初習台教。後志禪宗。謁龍門眼。造次之頃不忘提撕。適縱步水磨。見額云。法輪常轉。忽大悟。

Chan Master Mu'an Zhong initially studied the Tiantai teachings, but later set his resolve on the Chan school and visited Longmen Yan. Even in the span of an instant, he did not forget to bring [his practice] to attention. Once, walking leisurely by a watermill, he saw a plaque reading 'The Wheel of Dharma Ever Turns,' and suddenly attained great awakening.
