高峯妙禪師。在眾脅不沾席。口體俱忘。或時如廁中單而出。或時發函不扃而去。後徑山歸堂。大悟。

When Chan Master Gaofeng Miao dwelt among the assembly, his ribs never touched the mat, and he forgot both mouth and body. At times, when going to the latrine, he would walk out wearing only his undergarment; at other times, he would unseal a letter and leave without locking it. Later, returning to the hall at Jingshan, he attained great awakening.
