即古規之書狀也。職掌文翰。凡山門榜疏書問祈禱詞語悉屬之。蓋古之名宿多奉朝廷徵召。及名山大剎凡奉。

This is the ‘clerk’ (shuzhuang) of the ancient rules. He is in charge of literary documents. All placards, appeals, correspondence, and prayer texts of the monastery fall under his purview. In ancient times, eminent elders frequently received court summonses; and whenever celebrated mountains and great monasteries received
