4.21

掌諸殿堂香燈時時拂拭塵埃。嚴潔几案。或遇風起。須息爐內香火。及結起幡脚防顧使勿近燈燭。施主香錢不得互用。佛誕日浴佛煎湯供大眾。四齋日開殿門。以便往來瞻禮。

He oversees the incense and lamps in the various halls, constantly wiping away dust and keeping the altars strictly clean. If wind arises, he must extinguish the burning incense in the burners, tie up the ends of the banners, and guard them so they do not come near the lamps and candles. Incense money from donors must not be used for other purposes. On the Buddha's birthday, he bathes the Buddha, boils spiced water, and offers it to the assembly. On the four fasting days, he opens the hall doors to facilitate visitors coming and going to gaze in reverence and make prostrations.
