凡安眾處寮元照戒次。自下而上。請充之。寫定名字。預貼牌上。十日一替。佐寮元辦事。旦暮僧眾歸堂。巡視經案。或有遺忘什物者。眼同收拾付還。及交點本寮什物。提調香燈茶湯。毋容外人止宿及寄賣物件。猶預定望寮一名。使以次挨補副寮。若寮主遇滿從維那請交代。副寮遇滿從寮元請交代。

Wherever the assembly is housed, the dormitory head follows monastic age from bottom to top to invite them to serve. He writes out the names and posts them on the placard in advance. They rotate once every ten days to assist the dormitory head in managing affairs. Morning and evening when the monks return to the hall, they inspect the scripture desks; if anyone has forgotten utensils, they gather them together in the owner's presence and return them, inventory the utensils of their dormitory, and supervise the incense, lamps, tea, and decoction. They must not permit outsiders to lodge or leave goods for sale. They also designate in advance one person as 'expectant dormitory officer' to successively fill vacancies for the assistant dormitory host. When the dormitory host's term expires, he requests a handover from the karmadāna; when the assistant dormitory host's term expires, he requests a handover from the dormitory head.
