1.26

The imperial benevolence is vast and boundless, beyond even heaven and earth. We must awaken to and illuminate the Buddha-nature so as to return to ultimate goodness, and display its wondrous functioning so as to transcend the utmost divine; guiding the people with non-action transformation and elevating the world to the realm of benevolence and longevity. It is by this that we requite our sovereign, and this is what our followers ought to exhaust their minds in pursuing. Its manifestation in daily practice is that morning and evening we must pray, never forgetting it through a single meal, preserving its regulations and measures.
