勅修百丈清規 4.60

English (machine translation) 4.60

Language: English

4.60

At the fifth watch he heats water to supply the assembly for washing and ablutions. Towels, washbasins, lamps, candles, and tooth powder must not be lacking. In winter months, heating and drying towels requires waking early to arrange them, so as not to agitate the assembly's thoughts when the time comes.
