右二部合三十一卷。晉安帝世。罽賓三藏法師曇摩耶舍。秦言法稱。耶舍是名稱。而高僧傳乃云。法明從聲為字。於理小僻。義熙中入長安。共天竺沙門曇摩掘多。秦言法藏。以秦弘始九年初為姚興書出梵文。至十六年秋翻譯方訖。秦太子泓親管理味。沙門釋道標制序。

The above two works, totaling thirty-one fascicles. During the reign of Emperor An of Jin, the Tripiṭaka Dharma Master Dharmayaśas of Jibin (translated into Qin as 'Fancheng'; yaśas means 'fame', yet the Gaoseng zhuan says 'Faming', deriving the character from the phonetic sound, which is somewhat unreasonable in its logic) entered Chang'an in the Yixi era. Together with the Indian śramaṇa Dharmagupta (translated into Qin as 'Fazang'), he began in the ninth year of the Hongshi era of the Qin to write out the Sanskrit text for Yao Xing. The translation was completed in the autumn of the sixteenth year. The Qin Crown Prince Hong personally supervised the doctrinal essence. The śramaṇa Shi Daobiao composed the preface.
