The above one work, totaling fifty-eight fascicles. During the reign of Emperor An of Jin, the Tripiṭaka Vinaya Master Puṇyatāra of Jibin (translated into Qin as 'Gongdehua') was praised for his observance of the monastic rules and had traveled widely converting people. When Puṇyatāra arrived, Yao Xing summoned more than six hundred monks of notable virtue from Chang'an, inviting Puṇyatāra to reside at Zhong Temple. He recited from memory the Sanskrit text of the Daśabhāṇavāra Vinaya, and Kumārajīva translated it into Qin text. When two-thirds were completed, Puṇyatāra suddenly passed away, and the assembly deeply grieved. Kumārajīva later worked with Dharmaruci (translated into Qin as 'Faxi') to translate the remainder to completion.
