10.58

法師惟雅。久依孤山悉得其旨。孤山製西資鈔以解彌陀疏。扶病隱几口占其文。使雅師筆之。初日午後染毫。翌日初夜絕筆云。

Dharma Master Weiya long attended Gushan and fully mastered his tenets. When Gushan composed the *Sub-commentary on Western Provision* to explain the *Commentary on the Amitābha Sūtra*, he leaned on a table while ill and orally dictated the text, having Master Ya write it down. He first dipped his brush after noon on the first day, and by early night of the following day, the writing was completed.
