聖朝。此道復興。螺溪寶雲振於前。四明慈雲大其後。是以法智之創南湖。慈雲之建靈山。皆忌軀為法。以固其願而繼之以神照啟白運。辯才兆上竺。於是淛江東西並開講席。卒能藉此諸剎安廣眾以行大道。孰謂傳弘之任不在於處耶。然靈山之剎。三罹寇火而不能壞。此豈非至人誦呪加功願力堅固之驗也哉。

...Holy Dynasty, this Way has been revived. Luoxi and Baoyun raised it up before, while Siming and Ciyun magnified it afterward. Thus, Fazhi's founding of Nanhu and Ciyun's establishing of Lingshan were both cases of disregarding their own persons for the sake of the Dharma to consolidate their vows, and they were followed by Shenzhao inaugurating Baiyun, and Biancai opening Shangzhu. Thereupon, lecture platforms opened across both east and west of Zhejiang, and they were ultimately able to rely on these monasteries to settle the vast assembly and practice the Great Way. Who could say that the duty of transmission and propagation does not lie in the place? Moreover, the monastery of Lingshan suffered bandit fires three times without being destroyed. Is this not truly proof of the utmost person chanting dhāraṇīs, exerting effort, and possessing resolute power of vows?"
