Dharma Master Zongzheng was bestowed the title Wenhui. Relying on Shenzhi, he studied the doctrines and contemplation, penetrating deeply into their domain. In the early Zhiping era, he succeeded to the presidency of Nanhu and greatly promoted the ancestral school. Previously, Patriarch Baoyun's remains had been entombed in the northwest corner of Mount Yuwang. Seventy-seven years later, the master went from Nanhu to pay homage. Observing that the bricks were damaged and about to become overgrown and lost, he hired workmen to pile up stones, constructing a square mound to mark the place, and further wrote a stone stupa inscription to record the matter. At that time, it was said that without the master's text, the entombment of Baoyun would have been almost impossible to trace. Dharma Master Sigong was a native of Wucheng in Huzhou. He was bestowed the title Tizhen. At nineteen, he shaved his head. He went to Shenzhi to study the doctrines and contemplation. When he returned to his home village, Kongxiang had fallen into ruin due to accumulated floods. Setting his will to restore it, the master built three hundred bays of buildings. He was relaxed and sought nothing, yet donors came voluntarily. When the work was completed, he cultivated the long repentance for three years to fulfill his vow. In his old age, he returned to Jiekong on Mount Wu. In the ninth month of the first year of the Jianyan era, he took leave of the assembly and passed away seated. Wherever the smoke of his cremation reached, śarīra congealed. His stupa was placed in the southeast corner of the monastery. His forty-three disciples, including Jiecheng, all succeeded in transmitting the Way, branching out to convert the region of the Zhejiang River.
