2.7

序曰。如來降神母胎。雙垂兩應。大機則見乘旃檀樓閣。小機則見乘六牙白象。大小在機。而於如來應本。未始有動。此託胎之相也。

The Preface states: When the Tathāgata descended his spirit into the mother's womb, he displayed a dual response: great capacities saw him riding in a sandalwood pavilion, while small capacities saw him riding a six-tusked white elephant. Great and Small reside in the capacities, while regarding the Tathāgata's fundamental response, there was never any movement. This is the aspect of conception in the womb.
