Dharma Master Zhiyīn was bestowed the title Puzhao. In his youth, he studied the Tiantai Path and cultivated Pure Land practices. For fifty years, his Dharma robes never left his body. Once, due to bandit disturbances, he entered the mountains to avoid the turmoil, carrying only his undergarments. Just as he was about to use the privy, the bandits drew near. The Master changed his clothes on a rock and leisurely washed himself. The bandits dared not harm him. Those who understood sighed in admiration, saying, 'As for walking about without fear—is he not such a person?'
