永貞元年
邃法師於國清為日本最澄說止觀。
盡寫一宗論疏以歸。為日本傳教之始。

First year of Yongzhen.
Dharma Master Sui expounded cessation and contemplation for Saichō of Japan at Guoqing. [Saichō] copied all the treatises and commentaries of the tradition to return home, marking the beginning of the transmission of the teachings to Japan.
