27.127

師安。受業烏鎮普靜。通華嚴宗旨。修彌陀懺觀想淨土二十年。昕夕不廢。一生多病。臨終忽精爽。謂弟子曰。佛菩薩已降。吾將行矣。即端坐而化。

Shi'an was ordained at Pujing in Wuzhen. He was conversant with the essentials of the Avataṃsaka doctrine. He cultivated the Amitābha repentance and contemplated the Pure Land for twenty years, morning and evening without neglect. Throughout his life he suffered from many illnesses, but facing the end his spirit was suddenly bright and clear; he said to his disciples: "The Buddhas and bodhisattvas have already descended; I am about to go." He then sat upright and passed away.
