28.4

法盛。居金陵道場寺習十六觀想。一夕禮像。遇病假寐。見大士乘雜華雲出寶色光前來相迎。時諸尼欵門問疾。咸見光明迸溢。盛曰。佛及菩薩放光度我。言竟而絕。

Fasheng resided at Daochang Monastery in Jinling, practicing the sixteen contemplations. One evening, after bowing before an image, she fell ill and took a brief rest. She saw a Mahāsattva riding a cloud of variegated flowers and emitting precious-colored light, coming forward to welcome her. At that time, several nuns knocked on the door to inquire about her illness; all saw the brilliant light overflowing. Fasheng said, “The Buddha and bodhisattvas have emitted light to deliver me.” When her words ended, she passed away.
