陸氏宜人家錢唐。朝請王璵妻。常誦法華晚年尤篤。淨土禮懺一會念佛萬聲。凡三十載因微疾忽聞天鼓自鳴。人方驚異。即面西端坐而化。兩手結印。續淨土傳陸師壽者即其侄也。

The Suitable Lady née Lu lived in Qiantang and was the wife of Court Gentleman Wang Yu. She constantly chanted the Lotus Sūtra and was particularly devoted in her late years. She performed one session of Pure Land repentance and ten thousand recitations of the Buddha's name [daily]. For altogether thirty years, because of a slight illness, she suddenly heard heavenly drums sounding on their own. While people were still marveling in alarm, she sat upright facing west and was transformed, both hands forming mudrās. Lu Shishou, author of the Continued Pure Land Biographies, was her nephew.
