29.26

法師義和。錫號圓澄。乾道中住慧因。遷平江能仁。閱淨土傳錄。以華嚴部中未有顯揚念佛法門者。乃著無盡燈。以此經宗旨偏讚西方為念佛往生之法（文見樂邦文類）。

Dharma Master Yihe was granted the title Yuancheng. During the Qiandao era, he resided at Huiyin, and later moved to Nengren in Pingjiang. Perusing the records and accounts of the Pure Land, and considering that among the Avataṃsaka texts there were none that explicitly propagated the practice of recollecting the Buddha, he composed the Inexhaustible Lamp, using the essential tenets of this sūtra to specifically praise the Western direction as the method of recollecting the Buddha to attain rebirth (the text is found in the Classified Writings of the Land of Bliss).
