十六年（乙未）佛在毘耶離城菴羅樹園說維摩詰經（毘耶離。此云廣博嚴淨。菴羅。舊譯為柰。其形似梨。華多子少。維摩詰此云淨名。三惑垢盡。有大名稱。此即方等部主）。

In the sixteenth year (yiwei), the Buddha was in the Āmrapālī Grove in Vaiśālī and preached the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa Sūtra (Vaiśālī is translated here as 'vast, broad, ornate, and pure'. Āmra was formerly translated as 'nai' [quince]; its fruit resembles a pear, with abundant flowers and few seeds. Vimalakīrti is translated here as 'Pure Name' [Jingming]: his defilements of the three delusions having been exhausted, he possessed great renown. This sūtra represents the chief of the Vaipulya section).
