冬十一月既望。佛在毘舍離國大林精舍重閣講堂。告諸比丘。却後三月我當般涅槃。即為說普賢菩薩行法經。

In winter, on the day after the full moon of the eleventh month, the Buddha was in the lecture hall with a double-gabled roof at the Great Forest Monastery (Mahāvana-vihāra) in the country of Vaiśālī. He told the monks: 'Three months from now, I shall enter parinirvāṇa.' He immediately preached for them the Scripture on the Practice of the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra.
