提謂攝屬。述曰。佛說五戒人天之教。正是顯露。提謂得忍聞小證大。乃是不定。是為顯露不定教也。若約時則當華嚴三七後。及水邊七日後。是為第五七日。如因果經所云。若收經則人天之教。三藏所攝。如四教義所云。

On the classification of the Trapuṣa [sūtra], the author comments: When the Buddha expounded the five precepts as the teaching for humans and devas, this was precisely the manifest [teaching]. Trapuṣa attaining forbearance—hearing the small and realizing the great—was indeed the indeterminate [teaching]. Thus it is the manifest and indeterminate teaching. If considered in terms of time, it falls after the three periods of seven days of the Avataṃsaka and after the seven days by the water; this constitutes the fifth period of seven days, as stated in the Guo qu ying guo jing. If categorized by scripture, the human and deva teachings are subsumed within the Tripiṭaka, as stated in the Sijiao yi.
