30.52

住二十小劫（減增）。此劫中有千佛次第出。始自日光佛終至須彌相佛（藥王經）。佛言。我滅度後。若有勤修功德行眾三昧稱彌勒名行六事法（事六度也）必定得生兜率天上。亦隨彌勒下生。閻浮第一聞法。於未來世值遇賢劫一切諸佛。於星宿劫亦值諸佛受菩提記（彌勒上生經）。

Duration: twenty small kalpas (decreases and increases). In this kalpa, a thousand Buddhas appear in succession, beginning with Sūryaprabha Buddha and ending with Sumeru-lakṣaṇa Buddha (Bhaiṣajyarāja-sūtra). The Buddha said: 'After my parinirvāṇa, if there are those who diligently cultivate merit, practice the various samādhis, recite Maitreya's name, and practice the six dharmas (the practice of the six perfections), they will definitely be born in the Tuṣita Heaven. They will also follow Maitreya to descend and be born in Jambudvīpa to be the first to hear the Dharma; in future ages they will encounter all the Buddhas of the Fortunate Kalpa, and in the Constellation Kalpa they will also encounter the Buddhas and receive the prediction of bodhi' (Maitreya-upapatti-sūtra).
