九百九十八尊毘婆尸佛。姓拘利若。父槃頭。母婆提。子方膺。侍者無憂。人壽八萬歲出世。居般頭婆提城。坐波波羅樹下說法。三會度三十四萬八千人。

The 998th Honoured One, Vipaśyin Buddha: Clan Kauṇḍinya; father Bandhumat; mother Bandhumatī; son Sumanas; attendant Aśoka. He appeared in the world when the human lifespan was eighty thousand years, resided in the city of Bandhumatī, and sat under a pāṭalī tree to preach the Dharma. In three assemblies he liberated three hundred and forty-eight thousand people.
