三江。自豫章而下入彭䗍。而東至海為南江。自蜀岷山至九江彭䗍。以入海為中江。自幡塚導漾東流為漢過三澨。大別以入於江匯於彭䗍。以入海為北江。自彭䗍以上為二。自夏口以上為三。下而至於秣陵京口以入海。則不複三矣。

The Three Rivers: Running down from Yuzhang to enter Pengli, and flowing eastward to the sea is the Southern River. Running from Mount Min in Shu to the Nine Rivers and Pengli to enter the sea is the Middle River. Guided from Fanzhong, the Yang flows east to become the Han, passes through Sanshi and Dabie to enter the Yangzi River and converge at Pengli, flowing into the sea as the Northern River. From Pengli upward there are two, and from Xiakou upward there are three; going down to Moling and Jingkou to enter the sea, they are no longer three.
