33.60

述曰。磐自聞。此適子姪真視真誥真亢。不幸早世。焚龕之日皆不披袈裟。唯用布偏衫裙而已。設齋之前以平時所服七條。作[鬮-龜+?]拈法於僧中施。且復囑後人。當力行於自身必壞之際也。敢告知識共崇此法。

The commentary says: I, Pan, have heard this myself. My nephews Zhenshi, Zhengao, and Zhenkang unfortunately died young; on the day their coffins were cremated, none had a kāṣāya draped over them, using only a cloth side-seamed jacket and skirt. Before preparing the vegetarian meal, I took the seven-strip robes they usually wore and distributed them among the sangha by casting lots; furthermore, I instructed later generations that they must resolutely practice this when their own bodies inevitably decay. I venture to inform all good spiritual friends to revere this rule together.
