34.58

述曰。摩騰謂漢明帝曰。阿育王塔震旦有十九處。大士告劉薩訶。洛陽（聖冢）建鄴（長干）鄮陰（玉几）臨淄成都五處有阿育王塔。今十九處不可備知。而考之五處。獨鄮陰之塔。顯示世間可獲瞻禮。信乎海瀕群生末代值佛之幸也。

The commentary says: Mātanga told Emperor Ming of the Han that there were nineteen places with Aśoka stūpas in Cīnasthāna. The Mahāsattva [Samantabhadra] told Liu Saha that there were Aśoka stūpas in five places: Luoyang (the Holy Mound), Jianye (Changgan), Maoyin (Yuji), Linzi, and Chengdu. Today, the nineteen places cannot all be known; but examining the five places, only the stūpa of Maoyin is visibly displayed in the world and accessible for worship. Truly, it is the good fortune of the living beings along the sea coast to encounter the Buddha in the final age!
