四年除挾書律。秦律有挾書者族故今除之（挾藏也。族誅及九族）。

In the fourth year, the law against possessing books was repealed. Under the Qin statutes, those possessing books were executed along with their clans; therefore, it was now repealed. (*Xie* [挾] means concealing; *zu* [族] means execution extending to the nine degrees of kin.)
