永元元年。扶桑國僧慧深來京師言。其國在大漢東（海外多稱中國為漢者。存舊稱也）三萬里。宋大明五年（宋孝武）罽賓國沙門五人至其國流通佛法。

In the first year of Yongyuan, the monk Huishen from the kingdom of Fusang came to the capital and said that his kingdom lay thirty thousand li east of Great Han (overseas states frequently refer to China as 'Han', retaining the old designation). In the fifth year of the Daming era of the Song dynasty (Emperor Xiaowu of Song), five śramaṇas from the kingdom of Jibin arrived in that kingdom to circulate the Buddhist Dharma.
