○荊州都督羊祜。日供給武當山寺。有問其故。祜曰。前身多有諸過。賴造此寺故獲中濟。所以供養之情偏重於此。
Yang Hu, Commander-in-Chief of Jingzhou, made daily provisions for a monastery on Mount Wudang. When someone asked the reason, Hu said: 'In a previous life I had many transgressions, but relying on the construction of this monastery I obtained deliverance halfway through. Therefore my sentiments of making offerings are especially devoted to this place.'
