大寶元年四月八日。詔度人出家。親制願文云。弟子蕭綱以此建齋度人功德。普度六道四生。出離愛欲永拔無明。修習般若為真佛子。

In the first year of the Dabao era, on the eighth day of the fourth month, an imperial decree ordered the ordination of people as monks. He personally composed a vow: 'Your disciple Xiao Gang, by the merit of establishing this vegetarian feast and ordaining people, universally delivers the six destinies and four forms of birth, freeing them from desire, eradicating ignorance forever, and cultivating prajñā to become true children of the Buddha.'
