五年。海東玄光沙門受法華安樂行義於南岳禪師。歸國演教。為海東諸國傳教之始。

In the fifth year, the śramaṇa Hye-gwang from across the eastern sea received the meaning of the Lotus Ease and Joy Practice from Chan Master Nanyue. He returned to his country to propagate the teaching, marking the beginning of the transmission of the teaching to the various countries across the eastern sea.
