武泰元年（梁大通元年也）十月達磨自梁入魏。止嵩高山少林寺。面壁而坐。帝聞師異迹。三詔不至。就賜磨納袈裟金鉢銀水瓶繒帛。

In the first year of the Wutai reign era (which was the first year of the Datong reign era of Liang), in the tenth month, Bodhidharma entered Wei from Liang. He stayed at Shaolin Monastery on Mount Songgao, sitting facing a wall. The emperor heard of the master's extraordinary traces and summoned him three times, but he did not come; the emperor then bestowed upon him a mona kāṣāya, a gold bowl, a silver water pitcher, and silk fabrics.
