二十三年四月。上幸翠微宮。召奘法師陪從。上歎曰。與法師相見恨晚。未盡弘法之意。五月上崩。
In the twenty-third year, in the fourth month, the Emperor visited Cuiwei Palace and summoned Dharma Master Xuanzang to accompany him. The Emperor sighed, "I regret meeting the Dharma Master so late, not having fully exhausted my intentions for propagating the Dharma!" In the fifth month, the Emperor passed away.
