In the ninth year, an edict ordered Chan Master Yixing to create the Dayan Calendar. Xing Hepu said to Yin Yin, "Luoxia Hong of the Han dynasty said, 'Eight hundred years later, there will be an error of one day, and a sage will surely emerge to correct it.' Now Yixing has created the calendar and corrected its discrepancies and errors; Luoxia's words are indeed trustworthy!" Six years later he passed away, and was posthumously titled Chan Master Dahui. The Khotanese monk Zhīyán came and translated four scriptures. Yao Chong died, leaving a testamentary command: "The Buddha takes purity and compassion as the foundation, whereas fools copy scriptures and cast images hoping thereby to seek blessings. You boys must not follow ignorant fellows in seeking posthumous merit."
