開寶二年。長春節詔天下沙門。殿試經律論義十條。全中者賜紫衣。
In the second year of Kaibao [969], on the Changchun Festival, an edict summoned the śramaṇas of the empire to palace examinations on ten points of the sūtras, vinaya, and treatises; those who answered all correctly were granted purple robes.
