七年二月。永明壽禪師示寂。賜諡智覺。師得法於韶國師。高麗國王遣三十六僧來受道法。於是法眼一宗盛行海外而中國遂絕。

In the seventh year [974], in the second month, Chan Master Shou of Yongming manifested nirvanic quiescence; he was posthumously granted the title Zhijue. The Master had received the Dharma from National Preceptor Shao. The King of Goryeo sent thirty-six monks to receive the Way and Dharma from him. Thereupon, the Fayan lineage flourished overseas, while in China it subsequently died out.
